Driving back from Detroit we passed a La Quinta Inn, yellow and green and brown. It reminded me of a recent stay at a southern La Quinta Inn, when I was driving with my mom from Florida to Michigan. We had to stay at a La Quinta because it was one of the few places that would allow pets, and we were traveling with Ben, Mom’s gray cat. The room was not very nice: old carpeting, ratty rooms, and I was surprised because I had thought it was on par with Hampton Inn. Actually, my knowledge of hotels was very limited when I first stayed at a La Quinta, back in 2007. I had hardly stayed at any hotels or motels, being the camping sort. The first La Quinta I stayed at was somewhere outside of Duarte, California. I was assigned to a room with three other women I did not know, and 2 double beds. I was rooming with Sandi, Pat, and one other person. Anyway, the hotel seemed very nice, had a pool, and we were staying there as part of the first Mission Training by Swamiji. I only recall being in the room late at night. The days were being spent in another hotel for the training sessions. I tried to take a swim in the La Quinta pool at least once, as a salute to luxury. Other than that, the hotel was only useful for sleeping and writing. And for that I am so grateful. Swamiji had divided the training into three parts, Acharya Training, Pooja Training, and Organizational training. I had opted for Acharya training because I loved teaching. Learning and teaching about the chakras was one of the things that had attracted me when I first met Swamiji. As part of our acharya training, Swamiji wanted us to completely imbibe a book he wrote called Guaranteed Solutions. This is still one of the best books ever given to humanity. It has practical solutions to any problem, working step by step through the seven chakras. Once we really “got” Guaranteed Solutions, which meant both knowing the material in and out, and being able to deliver it at the bio-memory level, we were given the opportunity to teach that material. Teaching or sharing material given by an enlightened master is not like other teaching. Once you have been ordained to teach and are teaching, you are given the bio-energy of both Swamiji and the teachings. You are literally “expressing” the same enlightened qualities as Swamiji, you are the book and the words, radiating itself. Swamiji’s bio-energy becomes part of the teacher, awakening the teacher and then awakening others in a widening circle. The training process required us to completely write out the book in longhand. This technique is often used by Swamijii, as it helps us to access the material at a deep level. The book is over 500 pages. It took many, many hours and many nights to write. Every night we came home from training to La Quinta at a late hour. I would sit at the desk in our room, writing the pages of Guaranteed Solutions while everyone else slept. When you are doing Swamiji’s work, an awakeness takes hold of you. The pen is doing the writing. The words are going into your muscle memory. I don’t recall sleeping more than one or two hours each night, sharing a double bed with a stranger, and never any tiredness. I was writing those pages so many times in so many places, because each time I re-took the training, I would write the pages again. I wrote the 500 page book over at least three times. I wrote the pages in Palm Springs, California. I wrote the pages in Delaware, Ohio and in India. I wrote the pages in the dining room on Xenia Ave, not sleeping for 4 or 5 nights in a row to get it done, but never feeling tired. My husband would be both astonished and annoyed that I was staying up night after night, doing seemingly tedious work. He was amazed that I was not tired, and that I could do it again the next night. It was never tiring or tedious for me. The minute I write, transcribe, or say Swamiji’s words, energy just starts coming through. If you read Guaranteed Solutions, you will find out where it comes from. That’s how it was at La Quinta, yellow and green, a swimming pool. Writing at a desk at night while three others slept, writing Swamiji’s words and no tiredness. Awake. Comments are closed.
